Welcome to the Moses Wheeler Bridge construction web site. Here you will find all the project-related information and updates to keep you up to speed on progress, incidents and any other pertinent information about this project.
The Moses Wheeler Bridge has been a Connecticut icon since its construction in 1958, carrying I-95 over the Housatonic River between Stratford and Milford. Due to years of unforgiving New England weather, the bridge must be reconstructed to continue supporting the 135,000 cars and trucks that cross the Housatonic River on I-95 every day.
Completion of this bridge replacement project will allow for improved mobility and continue to benefit the region for years to come.
LANE CLOSURE AND CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND ON THE 'PROJECT STATUS' PAGE. ONCE THERE, PLEASE SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SECTION AND CLICK THE LINK FOR TRAFFIC ALERTS.
