
- On I-95 between Exits 33 (Ferry Boulevard/Route 1) and Exit 34 (Bridgeport Avenue Route 1) in the towns of Stratford and Milford, the following restrictions have been implemented:
- The speed limit in both directions has been reduced to 45 mph and will be strictly enforced by the Connecticut State Police using radar.
- Lane widths are reduced to 11 feet.
- The legal speed limit is reduced to 45 mph between Exits 33 and 34.
- Beginning the week of December 12, 2011, trucks, buses and trailers will be restricted to the right travel lane only on Interstate 95 between Exit 33 . This restriction will remain in place for the duration of construction activity for the replacement of the Moses Wheeler Bridge that carries Interstate 95 over the Housatonic River. Trucks, buses and trailers are required to comply and regulatory signs are being posted in advance of the restricted area to alert motorists.
- Traffic laws will be strictly enforced within the project limits during construction activities on the roadway with fines for violations being doubled.
